These pin contacts are in recessed cavities and are protected from moisture and isolated from each other and the metal shell by a silcone elastomer interfacial seal. The shell of these D-Microminiature right angle PCB mount block and socket terminal block connectors is made from Aluminum alloy with a yellow chromate over cadmium plating with a UL94V-0 glass filled polyester insulator.
